I cut out the jacket from the Simplicity 9839 pattern chosen by the designer. I did multiple pattern alterations to size up to the correct size. I made a mock-up to check the pattern alterations and to correct the changes. I cut the jacket using a pique fabric and a twill fabric flat lining chosen by the designer. The back of the jacket was reinforced with interfacing so that it would lay perfectly flat at all times.
